Buying a Static Caravan
Static caravans, your holiday home from home can also provide the ideal solution to self-builders and renovation works plus temporary accommodation for farms etc.
SELF-BUILD OR RENOVATIONS
- Living on your site during a self-build can have many advantages including financial and security.
- If you rent property while works are in progress you may be tied into a rental contract period and if your works overrun, you may have to renew for a longer period than required. If renting you also run the risk if the rental period expires that the landlord may not renew, potentially making you homeless.
- Renting can also be a waste of much needed revenue as it has no asset value when the period ends whereas with a static caravan used on site, a resell value should be retained at the end of the project.
BENEFITS OF LIVING ON SITE
- Excellent site security, giving you peace of mind.
- Eliminates travelling time to and from site.
- Allows you to be constantly involved and able to monitor the progress and to make any decisions quickly should they arise. This will help keep build time to a minimum and save you money.
- No missed deliveries. Ensuring that you are always on site for those urgent materials.
EXTRA ACCOMMODATION
- If you are a business owner, farmer or own stables and you require extra accommodation for staff, a static caravan makes a very cost effective easy remedy, allowing you to keep your business running with minimal fuss.
- For home-owners that require that extra space for relatives or living area for carers a static caravan could be the answer to your problems.
- It is always wise to check with your local planning authority first.
- Please ensure that you have adequate blocks and stands to allow your caravan to be correctly sited.
CHOOSING YOUR CARAVAN
- When buying your static caravan you will need to decide how many people will be staying in it.
- Most homes have either 2 or 3 bedrooms and can also accommodate people sleeping in the lounge area.
- What size? Do you require a 10ft or 12ft wide unit and which length best suits your needs.
- Do you require a standard caravan or would you like one with double-glazing and central heating? We will be pleased to discuss your needs and advise on which style of caravan is best for you.
DELIVERING AND SITING
- After choosing your static caravan, our highly experienced transport personnel will visit your site prior to delivery to ensure that the home you have chosen will fit in the allocated space and that the access is clear. Should any remedial site work be required before delivery or a different size home is required for the allocated space, you will be fully advised so that the work can be completed allowing for your home to be delivered at the agreed date.
AFTER DELIVERY
- Please ensure that you have adequate blocks and stands to allow your caravan to be correctly sited. We will be pleased to advise you on this and can supply stands at a competitive price if required.
- Once your caravan is on site you will need to arrange for the services to be connected. The gas and electrical supplies must be tested and inspected by a competent, registered person before human habitation.
